What about minimal-boho style?

For bohemian lovers – unconventional lifestyle

Hello design lovers and connoisseurs!

Today i decided to spend some time talking about bohemian style and design, but what is the bohemian style?
The word bohemian dates as far as the 1800’s, the bohemian interior design is random and busy. There are not any bare spot in a bohemian room ,so yes if you have an empty space, fill it with paintings, pillows and figurines. The bohemian interiors are full with accessories, full of colors, bold colors and pattern upon pattern upon pattern. But for me bohemian and all maximalistic styles are a lot of DISTRACTION! Why? a lot of unnecessary things, so messy, no space at all, you can not find your comfort zone. I am not a fan of maximalism as you see, but it doesn’t mean that i don’t like to know more about different styles of interior and design, contrariwise I enjoy experimenting with them, because i like to think outside of the box.
Now you are thinking what minimalism has to do with the bohemian style? Yes, you are right, because no similarities, but what if you mix them together? Nice idea, but how? I love patterns, geometric patterns, colors, flowers, so i steal these details from maximalism and try to create a small “corner” copyright © by my imagination. Important to say is that i don’t go too far with this, because for me simple is the definition of feeling comfortable and i insist that all the people need, is to feel relaxed, so the best way is choosing to live minimal as i do.

Say yes to leafy vibes!!                                These pillows, i could take them all.                   That is what i am talking about,                                                                                                                                                                              a minimal boho room.

I like how you blended the vibrant colors in small things to create your own vision of this blend of styles. I think we can pick and choose from many different styles I love minimalism myself but refuse to live in what I call the sterile white homes. Lots of color and art on the walls is necessary for me to be comfortable.

Hey Lois, i am glad you like it. We have different tastes of course, but as i said here i like to combine styles, but my favorite is minimalism. I like the white color in every room, is so pure, but i would also add other colors, but not distracting.

Yes, most of my walls are white here, but I’ve added lots of colorful art. It doesn’t matter what color the walls are without art on them I don’t feel at home.
